This short program aims to introduce learners to various surface engineering and coating fabrication technologies that modify and enhance material properties, providing protection against corrosion, friction, and wear under demanding contact conditions or in aggressive environments. The course will provide knowledge on the principles and working mechanisms of different physical and chemical synthesis processes for coatings and thin films.
